Strategic Litigation

Advancing housing rights legal frameworks

About our strategic litigation work

Canada has long experienced a housing and homelessness crisis that has many intersecting causes. We believe that law reform is an important means to effectively address the systemic and structural issues that contribute to this crisis.

Our strategic litigation team advances rights-based housing policy through undertaking precedent-setting legal cases. Informed by our work engaging communities across Canada and serving clients impacted by inadequate housing, we develop test cases, and provide targeted support and expertise to individual plaintiffs and lawyers forwarding litigation related to the right to housing.
